Guard Shift

comic panel
Travel across the plains, check for predators and gather the few berries around. The days are less distressing without the crows' company, which leaves space for exhaustion at the end of the day. Zapp is insisting, with reason, on doing guard shifts during the night to check if predators arrive. Let's say Zapp starts, then Leek and Onion as last. How long do these shifts last? Onion and Leek start reasoning. They are in three, and they decide to stay 8 hours. That's low for rodents but necessary here. Onion divides the time into four sections. Everybody sleeps on three of them and guard on one. To find how much time the critters sleep eight must be divided into four parts of two hours and then multiplied by three. The critters were not pleased that they can sleep only six hours and only at night.

Leek

A little weasel with big dreams. His energy and destructive power makes his weird ideas and sense of wonder an adventure of its own, expecially for Onion
His chaotic nature makes him destroy and recreate things on his likeness (hopefully the destruction doesn't make creation impossible... again).
Leek Onion

Onion

A creative and problem solving mice. He finds a way to fix stuff and make little and big things work, while trying to not create other problems.
His mindful and optimistic approach translate to befriending both preys and predators alike and having his way with others
